Fukui Point
3–15m
Bunaken's only sloping-reef site (every other named site here is a wall) — a gentle sand slope starting at 3-8m, marketed by multiple operators as suitable for any skill level, including check-out dives. Giant clams, a garden eel colony, green sea turtles, and whitetip reef sharks; current can strengthen near the point/cleaning station at depth. Day boat, no liveaboard.
Lekuan Wall
5–40m
A wall complex split into three connected sections (Lekuan I/II/III) dropping to 25-40m, with huge sponge- and soft-coral-covered walls. Exceptional green sea turtle density (up to ~10 seen on Lekuan I alone) and resident whitetip reef sharks. Current varies by section — Lekuan I strongest, Lekuan III genuinely calm — so operators pick the day's section by conditions; day boat from Manado/Bunaken Island resorts, no liveaboard needed.
When to go
A marine park built around steep coral walls dropping into very deep water just off the reef edge.
