MS Hadsel

A Norwegian coastal steamer that sank in a strong current near Reine in January 1958 (all 46 aboard evacuated safely); the cold water has preserved the wreck well. A genuine deep/technical-adjacent wreck dive, day-boat accessible from Ballstad, no liveaboard.

Vaterfjorden

A fast drift dive near the bridge by Svolvær airport, its walls covered in thousands of anemones with passing schools of pollack — the site of a community reef-cleanup campaign since 2016. Shallow on paper but explicitly rated for experienced divers only, due to strong current rather than depth. Day-boat from Kabelvåg, no liveaboard.
Quand y aller
Cold, nutrient-rich water supporting dense kelp forest and anemone-covered reef walls, quite different in character from the destinations elsewhere in this catalog. Day-boat diving from shore-based dive centers in Ballstad and Kabelvåg — no liveaboard. Practical season is roughly May-September (water 6-15°C depending on month); drysuit is recommended year-round and effectively required outside summer. This is a genuinely different product from Norway's orca-snorkeling trips, which run much further north/east near Skjervøy and Tromsø during the winter herring season and are not part of Lofoten's own scuba offering.
